AFPC President Herman Pirchner to speak at the Kennan Institute
October 5, 2009
In 1689, 1858, and 1860, raw force determined the border between Russia and China. The negotiated 2001 border settlement resulted in minor territorial changes and opened a wide range of military, diplomatic and economic cooperation which continues to this day. Is this cooperation destined to last, or will renewed border tensions and other conflicts for national interest lead to increasingly strained Sino-Russian relations?
On Monday, October 5th, AFPC President Herman Pirchner, Jr. will address this question when he speaks at the Woodrow Wilson Center's Kennan Institute in Washington, DC on "The Uncertain Future: Sino-Russian Relations in the 21st Century."
LOCATION: 6th floor auditorium, The Kennan Institute (1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC)
DATE: Monday, October 5th
TIME: 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Attendance at this event is free. Seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
