Eurasia Program

Now more than ever, timely, detailed analysis of the changing foreign policy and security environments of Central Asia and the Middle East is essential to American security policy. The American Foreign Policy Council's Eurasia Program, launched in late 2001, is designed to conduct cutting-edge, policy-relevant research in these regions, and to serve as a resource capable of alerting policymakers to security threats on the horizon. It concentrates its research on four major areas: regional security in the greater Middle East, Russian regional policy, energy and security in Central Asia, and transnational threats.
