On July 16, AFPC President Herman Pirchner, Jr. spoke in Kiev, Ukraine at a Conference titled US-Ukraine Security Dialogue IV. The meeting explored the possibility and implications of shale gas development in Ukraine as well as Russian pressure on the Ukrainian state in the wake of Ukrainian efforts to build closer ties to the European Union.
