AFPC Briefs SOCOM on Emerging Threats in Asia

On February 27, AFPC hosted Col. Paul Huxhold of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and Mr. James Farwell, an advisor to SOCOM, for a briefing on emerging threats in Asia. AFPC President Herman Pirchner Jr.; Vice President Ilan Berman; Kraemer Strategy Fellow Jeff M. Smith; and Research Fellow Richard Harrison provided briefings and engaged in an interactive discussion on a range of countries including North Korea, Iran, China, India, Pakistan, Russia, and Southeast Asia, as well as topical issues including maritime security and missile defense. The event was part of AFPC’s cooperation with the Department of Defense. In recent years, AFPC has held events with or provided briefings to the Pentagon, Special Operations Command, Central Command, and Pacific Command.
