AFPC Co-sponsors 11th Annual Ukrainian Roundtable

On October 20-21, the U.S-Ukraine Foundation held its annual Roundtable on Ukraine’s Quest for Mature Nation Statehood. As in previous years, AFPC served as a major sponsor of the event.
The eleventh in this series of high-profile conferences, this year’s iteration was titled “Compelling Bilateral Ties: Germany-Ukraine & Russia-Ukraine.” The two-day event included a formal dinner in the Senate complex, and a full day of focus sessions and roundtables featuring prominent U.S. and Ukrainian officials, as well as academics and issue experts from both countries.
Among the participants were: Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States; the Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs; Ukraine’s deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; and representatives from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Atlantic Council, RAND Corporation, U.S. Naval War College, Harvard University, and others. The event closed with a reception at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington.
