AFPC hosted Central Asia Development Corporation President Charles Santos at a luncheon on September 18, 1998. Mr. Santos has had extensive experience working in Afghanistan, both for the U.N. and in the private sector. He spoke at length on the radical Taliban regime and the possible repercussions of recent political and military developments in the region for Central Asia and U.S. interests.
