On February 10, AFPC Director of Asian Security Programs Jeff M. Smith served as the moderator for an event on Capitol Hill hosted by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) and the Congressional China Caucus.
Designed to highlight the findings of the 2015 USCC Annual Report to Congress on China, the event featured as speakers USCC Chairman Dennis Shea and Commissioners Peter Brookes and Katherine Tobin. Congressional China Caucus co-chairs Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA) and Rep. Madeleine Bordallo (D-Guam) delivered two keynote addresses.
Mandated by Congress, the USCC’s annual report to Congress, is designed to examine various aspects of the U.S.-China relationship and Chinese foreign policy. The 2015 report covered topics including China’s foreign investment climate and cyber and space programs.
