AFPC Vice President Ilan Berman examines Iran other extremist Islamic actors in Peru, Argentina

Between October 16 and 23, AFPC Vice President Ilan Berman traveled to Peru and Argentina to examine the evolving presence of Iran and other extremist Islamic actors there and in the broader Americas. In both places Berman met with current and former government officials, as well as private sector experts, to discuss a broad range of security, foreign policy and counterterrorism issues, as well as to explore the current state of Iranian activities in South America.
