Launched in 2006, the American Foreign Policy Council's Central Asia Counterterrorism Project was designed to provide American politicians and journalists with new sources of information from Central Asia about ways to effectively wage the “war of ideas” against radical Islam, drawing on the Central Asian experience with the phenomenon.
The project culminated in December 2006 with the publication of Central Asian Responses to Radical Islam.
