Now in its fourth edition, The World Almanac of Islamism is the first comprehensive reference work to detail Islamist movements worldwide. The contributions, written by subject matter experts, provide up-to-date assessments of contemporary political expressions of Islam. Each study includes valuable metrics for gauging the advance or decline of Islamism. Both in print and online, the digital version of the Almanac can be found here. It includes all 62 country studies and 10 movement studies available in the print edition.

Studies include comparisons of the number of terrorist attacks, the level of popular support received by religious organizations and political parties, and any applicable government responses to these trends. They also encompass relevant changes to domestic human rights practices and social conditions, foreign policy rhetoric and action, and overall state stability.
