In early March, AFPC President Herman Pirchner, Jr. traveled to Ukraine to assess the future path of the ongoing war between the Ukrainian government and the separatists who are commanded, funded, and equipped by the Russian government.  Pirchner found the Ukrainians highly motivated to defend their territory despite the lack of modern equipment and training. Neighboring countries, also threatened by the Russian military, are increasingly providing support. The beginnings of a military alliance between Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine are now visible.
