From April 10-17, AFPC conducted a four-person research trip to Morocco at the invitation of the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies, the country’s leading private security and foreign policy research institution.

Delegation members included AFPC Vice President Ilan Berman, AFPC Senior Fellow in National Security Affairs James S. Robbins, AFPC Fellow in Middle East Studies Andrew Peek, and Eric Brown, a senior research scholar at the Hudson Institute.

During their visit, delegation members traveled to the Moroccan capital of Rabat, as well as to the Saharan city of Dakhla. In both places, they met with a range of government officials, scholars and diplomats to discuss the contemporary security situation in North Africa, as well as the Kingdom’s counterterrorism strategy.
