Darrell Owens joined the American Foreign Policy Council in August 2024 as Senior Fellow in National Security Affairs. Darrell is the Director of Government Relations for America’s Warrior Partnership, assisting veterans around the nation, as well as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve. He recently returned from United States Army Europe, where he was the Deputy Foreign Policy Advisor and Congressional Liaison.

Darrell previously served as National Security Advisor to Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), and before that on the staff of Congressmen John E. Peterson (PA-05) and Glenn 'GT' Thompson (PA-15), focusing on military, defense, and veteran’s issues. A seasoned Army officer, he has deployed overseas to South Korea, Poland, and Germany. He is a graduate of the Air Force Air Command & Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
