Any political effort to resolve Russia’s war against Ukraine must reckon with the special circumstances of Crimea.

AFPC has visited Ukraine routinely over the years, but none of our trips there (or elsewhere, for that matter) has been anything like our wartime visit to the capital Kyiv and port city Odesa January 20- 29.

Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has been implicated in several attacks in southern Yemen in recent months. The recent uptick in attacks indicates that the group still retains a high level of coordination and training, and could now be making a comeback.

Though there has been a significant global increase in focus on Ukraine since the 2022 invasion by Russian forces, AFPC has been deeply invested in Ukrainian affairs for years, as displayed throughout the following images.
